New wild listening into the inner lives of trees
Deepwood explores how plant sensors, machine learning and immersive audio can to take us closer to the hidden world of activity inside trees. Enter into meditative, hovering soundscapes around a tree which shift as the live, realtime activity of the tree shifts.
A first-stage prototype was developed for Spring 2025, with partners Knowle West Media Centre and Hive IT. Supported by Digital Catapult. Further development planned for 2025-2026.
